Contemporary Master Suite Remod

A complete gut remodel of an existing master bathroom and closet in a contemporary home.  A new contemporary “barn” door was added to the existing opening separating the bedroom from the bath and closet.  While a second sink was added replacing an existing single sink, the existing plumbing locations were retained as a cost saving measure.  The new cabinetry was designed to match existing mill work in the house in color while providing an update to the twenty-five year(plus) old  home.  The existing shower was opened up and made to feel much larger by raising the existing ceiling and installing a clear glass enclosure.  The modest size of the shower precluded building in a bench seat, however the design includes a toe-step niche and grab bar to cover the washing/shaving functions of a bench seat.  Towels and wash clothes are readily available while they provide an accent color and texture to the room.  Custom cabinetry design, fixture selections, product selections and finishes by gordon architecture, inc. in collaboration with the home owner.
